A venerable institution : for 88 years the U.W.A.C. has brought together students and postgraduates from the University and colleges of Warsaw. A lively musical breeding ground: oratorios and religious works, a capella concerts and major orchestral performances, film music and creative compositions linked to exhibitions, national and international choral competitions, European tours …. After winning a national prize last year recognising its dynamism and innovation, the choir returns to Normandie with another rich and varied repertoire – from great Polish composers to melodic traditional tunes. Under the direction of their indefatigable conductor, Irina Bogdanovich, a musical and lyrical breeze is blowing in from the East. Magic and virtuosity in equal measure.
