For almost 50 years the "C.O.U.R." has held a special place in the landscape of French choral music. No other University choir has done as much to introduce successive generations of students to choral singing. Since 1982 Didier Horry has practised a policy of welcoming and training students, his only criteria being their motivation. The result is 40 events and concerts every year, 150 to 200 singers and instrumentalists at the beginning of each academic year, and a network of graduates comprising several hundred members. In addition, there is intense international activity, dozens of exchanges and tours abroad, and the organisation of three International Meetings for University Choirs. A natural partner in the organisation of this summer’s Polyfollia, in addition to various concerts and events, the C.O.U.R. will present Mozart’s Sparrow Mass (K220) with the Peiyang Chorus from Tian Jin and the University of Warsaw Academic Choir.
